Vanity Fair March 2014

Dakota appeared in the Vanities opener for Vanity Fair Magazine. The brunette bombshell, who will be featured in the March 2014 issue of the magazine, gives a prim and proper look for the shoot, hinting that she’s channeling her inner Anastasia Steele, pre-Christian Grey.

“A lot of getting into the character’s head, in Ana’s headspace before she meets Christian, so it’s a lot of reading, which I love,” Johnson told the mag on preparing for the anticipated film. “She’s an English major, so that’s kinda boring.”

Regardless, Dakota says shooting the film with Jamie Dornan and the rest of the cast and crew has been very positive. “It’s been a very smooth and fun and creative experience. I think going into something like this, you kind of have fears of what it could be like and none of those fears are happening. We all get along really well and the crew’s amazing. We’re just all trying to make this project the best it can be.”

And fans are excitedly counting down the days until E L James’ erotica adaptation hits the big screen (Feb. 13, 2015, in case you forgot). Johnson joked about the fan base, saying, “I wonder if it will be, like, 40-year-old moms, which I am cool with. I love moms.”

We have added x screencaps from this video, plus the Vanities scan itself to the galleries … enjoy.

Dakota Johnson covers Elle Magazine

Dakota Johnson will be portraying the famous Anastasia Steele from E L James’ erotica Fifty Shades of Grey on the big screen come Feb. 13, 2015, but the star has no problem turning her sexy on.

Such is the case when it came to her cover shoot and spread in Elle magazine’s March issue. Dakota put on her seduction hat by smizing at the camera while strutting thigh-highs and flashing her bra for the photo shoot.

But more than just looking the part, the 24-year-old told the mag, “I don’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame.”

When asked what intrigued her about the fanfiction trilogy, Johnson said, “Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes. I think there’s a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down.”

“At Elle, we love to feature women who are taking risks and putting themselves out there,” said Robbie Myers, the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief. “Dakota was really open and candid in her interview and has a great mix of confidence, humility and humor.”

The issue hits national newsstands on Feb.18.
